Maya Ito Johnson

Maya Ito Johnson is currently pursuing a MMA in Violin Performance at the Yale School of Music under the guidance of Tai Murray. She previously studied with Ilya and Olga Kaler at the Cleveland Institute of Music. It was during her time there that she began exploring historical performance through participating in the CWRU baroque orchestra and chamber ensembles where she was coached by Julie Andrijeski and Jaap ter Linden. Since then she has performed in various period ensembles across America, such as the Smithsonian Academy Orchestra, the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, and Apollo's Fire.
