Accademia de’ Dissonanti collaborates with Belgium's Il Gardellino to bring together the 18th-century repertoire of Bach, Vivaldi, and contemporaries along with the North American premiere of a new composition by Christian Mason.

L’Accademia de’ Dissonanti, joined by the celebrated mezzo-soprano Krisztina Szabo, pays hommage to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in a sumptuous program that presents several baroque “takes” on Justice, from Benedetto Marcello’s luminous Salmi di Davide to a passionate but doomed appeal for divine justice from Claudio Monteverdi’s L’Incoronazione di Poppea. A commissioned work by Michael Oesterle for two violas da gamba, also inspired by the theme of Justice, received its world premiere.

Accademia de' Dissonanti introduces its new research-oriented series "Dissonanti Lab". Here we invite an artist to share their explorations through a brief residency in Montréal. Yi-heng Yang will perform Beethoven's monumental "Hammerklavier" sonata as well as the fifth cello sonata with artistic director, Elinor Frey. A new work by Dalit Warshaw will receive its world premiere.
