Michael Oesterle

Michael Oesterle is a Canadian Composer who primarily writes for the concerto hall, but has composed music for theatre, film, animation, and dance projects. His concert music has been performed by a wide range of groups such as Tafelmusik (Toronto), the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Ensemble Intercontemporain (Paris) and l’Orchestre symphonique de Montréal.  He is closely associated with Quatuor Bozzini, with whom he has collaborated for the past 30 years. An important period in his musical life was his role as co-founder/director of Ensemble Kore, a Montreal based new music ensemble which produced innovative concerts between 1996 and 2008.
